Shovelling Snow = Injuring Back

Intro It’s March but still winter in Québec, Canada. We just had 15 – 20 cm of snow dump … sigh When that happens, we have to shovel the darn thing to clear the path to the front or side door… State of our side door Our side door was blocked by the snow like this… Buried in the snow are our garbage and recycle bins. The door won’t open either. Shovelling it away It was Saturday morning. I knew I had to shovel the snow away. It was burying our side door and them bins. And the hubby was leaving garbage bags that are full of trash in the

My Routine

Intro Well, for over 10 years, I have been going to the gym regularly. Stupid Covid changed that for me. And yes, that’s my sorry excuse, alright? Hurting my knee while shovelling snow was another one. The constant pain pulled down my mood and motivation. December 2022 The new year was about to start and was scrolling through photos on instagram mindlessly. Mostly guys with great physiques. Of course, I’m not gonna have that sortta physique. But I remember thinking to meself, “gotta get back to me routine”. Mirror I usually avoid looking meself in a mirror. Seriously hate how me face, me body, about everything about me. I guess

Quick trip to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Intro For my 51st birthday (which is in April), we decided to take off to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. We’ve once drove through there quickly back in 2015 and ever since then, hubby wanted to spend more time there. B&B We stayed at this B&B located right in front of the pier. The best location EVER!! So close and can walk to everywhere…from a cafe to restaurants. Highly recommend. Blue Rocks About 10 – 15 min drive from Lunenburg, you will find this small village of gem. Right smack to the ocean and a waitress who served us at our favourite restaurant recommended us to drive by because the area’s so

Villa Elina

Intro This restaurant is inside Château Vaudreuil located on the shores of Lac des Deux Montagnes. It’s about 30 – 45 mins away from downtown Montréal. Restaurant Villa Elina Oh my gawd! This was a fantastic date night we had in a while. Ambiance, food, wine, services… All were near perfect. Only thing that wasn’t perfect was the price tag of the dinner but I digress… Here are what we consumed this night: Oh boy, that wine! Baguette and Focaccia bread were so fresh and they were not too strong in taste nor smell. ※ Well, we were one of the first guests of the evening so let’s keep that

My blogs

Intro I first began blogging way back in early 2004 or 2005. It was one of the way to communicate with my friends back home in Japan. It was easy to post photos with a little note and blabber about it more over the phone. I’d like to assume my family read them too but surely they didn’t give a … So yeah I’ve been blogging in Japanese for a long time. Japanese I have used many platforms for blogging. Mini-blog platform called Mixi was very popular and this was before Facebook. Gawd, I’m showing me age aren’t I. I can’t remember how many of them I used but Ameba

Hello World

Intro Here I go again. After blogging in Japanese for a long time, I finally decided to blog in English, too. Why now? Well, I forgot to switch off the auto-renewal of this domain “Auntie-k.com”, duh. Yeap I’m such a twat, aren’t I 🤦🏻‍♂️ Blogging I was using this domain for a Japanese blog platform called Hatena blog. I moved that blog to WordPress and cancelled blog hosting service with Hatena. But I forgot to un-tick the auto-renewal box of the domain because it was a different service provider and needed to go to that service provider’s website to do it. Lazy arse me. That’s right. To avoid the same
